Fine image. I tried it a few times now; but I still get the feeling that Google Translate does not give me the whole meaning of your words. In the image I see a little girl that is (left) on her own, looking for the unknown…

Here is a translation, Harrie… The rhythm and poetry are not quite what I’d like them to be and it would probably take lots more time for me to be satisfied. But it will at least give you the gist of it.
And thank you.
The long word in the French title “bôzoublis”… is a made-up word, combining two of the words of the fourth line of the first verse, “nos beaux oublis de soi”. It’s hard to render, I can’t find anything that does it for me. It has something to do with the beauty of what happens when we move beyond self-consciousness… “beautifully forgetting the self”…
on the one hand we tell it all on slabs and walls
and on the other we get tangled in detours and mazes
I love us humans
in our more natural states
our least polished poses
free from the superfluous self
And I find us beautiful
when our bodies loosen up
and our hearts stand open
It must be the reason why
I love much and always
old folks and nice fools
and those-in-the-margin
that-await-nothing-from-you
‘cause let’s face it
no matter how we look at it
what else is there really to lose
other than life and love

Beautiful words and I recognize a lot in them.. Thanks again for translating! See you, Caroline.

Quite wonderful, Caroline… I read the translation you generously did. « bôzoublis » is a perfect word, the mot juste. I feel it similar in essence to satori which, as I understand and could be wrong, is the awakening to a truth in a way that it cannot be taught but lived. In bôzoublis I feel a kind of liberating charm that makes you leave behind chains of selfness tying us to things and obsessions.
In my work sometimes is a bit sad to speak with customers, I want to know them to think in a place where they can be happy, but they spend words in mortars and slabs, so to me your words referring a common and symbolic issue have a quite literal meaning in my life; I like bricks when they tell you a story in their texture or get a special tone when the light is golden. Labyrinths are something I try to scape, it’s easy to fall in social or personal traps made of words. Merci, et un sourire.
